Beaver Lake in Arkansas is our Primary open water site.
The Army Corps of Engineers constructed a variety of
recreational facilities around the lake. Paved access roads wind through
twelve developed parks. These parks have modern campsites with drinking water, showers, and restrooms nearby. Other facilities, such as picnic
sites, swimming beaches, hiking
launching ramps, and sanitary dump stations are also available in the
parks. There are 12 recreation areas with 677 campsites along with 7
full-service commercial marina concessions, which hold 1,750 rental
slips. There are 9 limited motel / resort leases and 28 boat ramps
licensed to County or State. There are 8 national bass tournaments per
year and many other fishing tournaments. There are 3.1 million visitors
Beaver Lake is a popular scuba diving site. Offering between 10ft &
20ft of visibility depending on rainfall and lake level. There are a
number of popular dive site. On any given Saturday you will find

This is a intro to diving for those who are interested in diving, but want to try it out first.
This experience lasts about 2-3 hours. First you will need to complete some paperwork, this includes a health questionnaire ( You MUST be in good health to participate or have a Physician complete a PADI Medical consent form ** Click Here for more info
Your scuba instructor will spend a little time with you to explain the basic principles of scuba diving and give you an overview of your scuba gear, which is supplied by the dive shop.
Once you feel comfortable, your instructor will take you in the pool to help you learn basic scuba skills.
The skills you learn during your Discover Scuba Diving experience may be credited toward the full PADI Open Water Diver certification.
Must be 10 years old to participate, those under 12 must have an adult with them.
Open Water Training
This class is for non divers wishing to become certified divers. There are three steps to becoming open water certified. Book/Classroom, pool, and open water check out dives.
Step 1 Book/Classroom work - After you complete your home study, classes are held right here at the Dive Center in our state of the art classroom.
Step 2 Pool Work - is done at the St. Joseph YMCA.
Step 3 Open water check out dives - are done at Beaver Lake in Arkansas.
Other options exist for completing PADI open Water training. We are very flexible and can schedule private classes to fit your busy schedule. Call us for more details and to sign up.
Are you a certified diver that has not been diving for several months or more. A refresher course if offered to help you fine tune your skills and increase your knowledge and confidence.
For certified Diver that want to expand their knowledge and build on the skills learned in open water.
To become a Padi Adventure diver, you chose and complete 3 adventure dives from the adventures book. This includes the book work and in water work.
Advanced Open Water
Often this certification is done along with adventure diver. You will do 3 adventure dives of your choice and then 2 required dives - deep (60 ft min) and underwater navigation.
This class will boost your confidence and skill in the water!
Emergency First Response
First Aid, CPR, and AED
You will learn how to handle illness and injury when they occur with a focus on diving!
Also CPR, AED, and be oriented to using an emergency oxygen kit. This course is required to move up to Rescue Diver but is recommended for ALL DIVERS.
This is a highly recommended and fun class. You will complete a book and classroom session followed by pool and open water work. You will learn to recognized and prevent dive relater accidents and how to handle them if they occur. This course will make all your diving safer and give you tons of knowledge and confidence.
